Character Breakdown: Puppet actors should be able to sound like the ages listed. Just like Nancy Cartwright voices Bart Simpson, some parts may be suitable for either gender. Kate Monster (20s): Hand and rod puppet. A Kindergarten teaching assistant who dreams about eventually opening a school for monsters. She may look sweet, put-together, and conservative, but has a very feisty and opinionated Monster side. She quickly falls for the new guy on the block, Princeton. (Range: F#3 - F5)

Nicky (20s): Live hands puppet. An unemployed twenty-something slacker who is Rod’s roommate. Charming and undeniably cute, he has no problems with Rod being gay. (Range: B2 - B4)
