The short film recently won the Student Jury Prize for best short at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2019. The movie had made its World Premiere at the festival.

Not only the film is unique in its content, Binnu Ka Sapna was the only Indian Film competing at the festival this year.

The festival was held from February 1-9, 2019. It is known as the world's largest film festival dedicated to short films and the second largest film festival in France after Cannes. Talking about the honor, Kanu Behl the director of Binnu Ka Sapna says, "I'm thrilled with the honour. It was a pleasure to see Binnu connect with a larger audience and to experience their reactions and love for the film first hand. I now eagerly look forward to the film's release where it truly belongs - in India."

The movie follows the story of one Binnu who tries to make sense of the deep rooted patriarchy he had seen as a child and how subconsciously it affects him in his youth. The movie is the directors' attempt to look at anger, masculinity, rage and relationships that are often skewed in closed societies.

Written and Directed by Kanu Behl, produced by Terribly Tiny Talkies and Colosceum Media, the film is a praiseworthy attempt to look at love and anger with an alternate angle.
