We enter into the personal world of the iconic Micki Grant through her music, unpublished poems, lyrics, written musings on love, politics, America, family, food, historical figures loved and lost, featuring music rarely heard and accented with songs from her award-winning works: Don’t Bother Me, I Can’t Cope, Your Arms Too Short to Box With God, It's So Nice To Be Civilized, and Working.
Ms. Grant became the first Black woman to write the book, music, and lyrics of a Broadway musical, Don’t Bother Me, I Can’t Cope.

Micki #1, Micki #2 and Micki #3 - African American Females, age range 30-60. The three Mickis are the ageless, vibrant, optimistic actor, composer and lyricist Micki Grant. They portray characters from her shows, her poetry and her personal recollections and anecdotes. Varied vocal ranges. Works include, Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope, Your Arms Too Short to Box with God, and Working.
Man - African American, age range 30-60. Mature, charismatic and debonair. An accommodating presence that embodies the male characters from the works of Micki Grant. Vocal range Tenor/Baritone
