Seeking

Brutus: Male or Female, age 40s-50s. The conscience of Rome and heartful prelude to Hamlet.

Cassius: Male or Female, age 40s-50s. Lean, hungry, persuasive, and rebellious. A warrior and near-statesman.

Marc Antony/Casca: Male, 30s - 40s. The former is Rome's young hero and right-hand to Caesar, of great courage and schooled in the art of rhetoric. The latter is politically and physically warped, wry, impatient, of questionable moral compass.

Calphurnia/Lucius/Trebonius/plebian: Female, age late 20s-30s. Caesar's formidable wife; Brutus' dutiful young servant and musician; willful statesman and officer.
Soothsayer/Decius/plebian: Male, age 30s. A blind, courageous poet; a confident and high-ranking strategist and military officer.

Portia/Cinna the conspirator/Caesar's servant/plebian: Female, age late 20s-30s. Brutus' lonely, loving wife who will do anything to be seen; a noble statesman and high-ranking military officer.

Julius Caesar/Metellus/plebian: Male, age 30s. Though lawless, he is perceived to be the greatest General in Rome's history. He is a world-conqueror and has won a recent civil war against the revered Pompey and now could be King of a republic -- bypassing the Senate and ruling by executive fiat. He knows he is great, smart, and superstitious. Also plays a loyal statesman and high-ranking military officer.

Seeking

Mary Bennet: Female, age early 20s. Jane Austen's creation from PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Finally coming into her own, she is no longer the plain, boring girl of Austen's book. Intelligent, curious, lively, she does not suffer fools and longs to live a full life.

Jane Bingley: Female, age mid-20s. Seven months pregnant with her first child with Mr. Bingley; sweet and optimistic as ever. The kindest heart in the house.

Anne de Bourgh: Female, age 20s. Lived in her mother's very large shadow, never having to ask for anything or speak for herself. Judgmental and impatient, like her mother.

Arthur de Bourgh: Male, age 25. Studious, unsociable only child who has never been around women or large families. A loner who prefers books to people. Recently inherited a large estate and has no idea what to do next.

Elizabeth Darcy: Female, age 22. Confident, charming, witty. A fun and surprising lady of the house. Married to Mr. Darcy, best friends with her sister Jane.

Fitzwilliam Darcy: Male, age 30. Loving, generous, smart (if slightly off) husband. Quiet and vigilant, knows what being lovelorn is like.

Charles Bingley: Male, age 25. Gracious, happy, ever-focused on the love of his life, Jane. A good friend with a ready smile.

Lydia Wickham: Female, age 18-21. Flirtatious, youthful, self-centered. Her marriage to Mr. Wickham is a sham, but she will not admit it. Best party guest: energetic, engaging, unstoppable.
