BREAKDOWN

SEEKING:

[JOSE RODRIGUEZ] male, Latino, 20s, pop tenor. Ideally no taller than 5’7” or thereabouts. An enterprising, undocumented Mexican immigrant (Dreamer). He’s not the biggest guy on the block, but he has the biggest dream. Ambitious, street-smart, charming. Should have facility with Mexican accent, as well as great comedic ability.

[ALINA ORLOVA] female, Russian, 20s, soprano with belt. Ideally taller than 5’6”. All business, this charismatic Russian spy is bent on undermining the West. On the surface, she’s a cool, sexy operator, but there’s a warmth underneath. Should have facility with Russian accent, as well as great comedic ability.

[SUNNY PARK] female, Korean, 40s-50s, mezzo/alto. A proud Korean owner of Hell’s Kitchen’s best corner deli. Business oriented, but deep down, yearning for love. Should have facility with Korean accent, as well as great comedic ability.

[ABDUL MAKHDOOM] male, Pakistani, 40s-50s, baritone. A passionate Pakistani pizzeria proprietor with dreams of a Michelin Star and a wife. Romantic and a bit vague. Should have facility with Pakistani accent, as well as great comedic ability.

[COLD BORSCHT] male, Russian, 40s-50s, baritone. One of Russia’s most awarded spies and Alina’s father. Imposing, demanding, superior. Should have facility with Russian accent, as well as great comedic ability.

[PRISCILIANA ESPINOZA] female, Latina, 40s-50s, mezzo. A Mexican mafiosa with a corrupt flair for deal-making. She’s raunchy, devious and a powerhouse of dominatrix energy. Must have convincing Mexican accent and comedic ability.

[THE AMERICAN/ENSEMBLE] female, African-American, 20s, mezzo soprano/strong belt. An MBA grad from NYU. She has laser focus and burning ambition. Must have comedic ability.

[CAROL/ENSEMBLE] female, Caucasian, 30s, alto. Prisciliana’s imposing henchwoman. A Southerner with a colorful past and sadistic tendencies. Must have Southern accent and comedic ability.

[BEEF STROGANOFF/ENSEMBLE] male, Russian, 18+ to play teen. A pale-skinned, conceited denizen of the dark web. Speaks hacker jargon with a slight Russian accent. Must have comedic chops and ability to play a variety of characters.

[MRS. BROWN/ENSEMBLE] female, any ethnicity, 30s, soprano. A hard-nosed US government agent. Must have good comedic chops and ability to play a variety of characters.

[MR. GRAY/ENSEMBLE] male, any ethnicity, 30s, bass. A hard-nosed US government agent. Must have good comedic chops and ability to play a variety of characters.

[GRACE/ENSEMBLE] female, Asian-American, 20s, soprano. Sunny’s daughter, Harvard grad. Also plays a variety of ensemble roles. Must have comedic ability.

[LENNY/ENSEMBLE] male, any ethnicity, 30s, baritone. A smarmy casting director. Must have comedic ability and ability to play multiple roles with various accents.

[DIGNITARY/ENSEMBLE] male, any ethnicity, 20s, tenor. An eager, young Designer. Must have good comedic chops and ability to play a variety of characters.
