BREAKDOWN
[JUNE]
Female, late 20’s to mid 30’s, black, smart, ambitious, married to Lurie.
[LURIE]
Male, late 20’s to mid 30’s, black, hard working, wants to make his wife happy –not quite sure how he ends up constantly agreeing to things that go against his instincts.
[LEROY]
Male, early 20’s to early 30’s, Lurie’s younger brother, a handyman, less interested or understanding of his brother geographic assimilation.
[BEATRICE]
Female, young – 18+ actor to play anywhere from 14 – late 20’s, a guest, a ghost, dark energy, insatiable, terrifying in her presence, a being determined to wrestle her house back from the interlopers.
Story line: It starts with the sound of a spoon scraping against glass and the wet noise of lips smacking together. June and Lurie have a haunting new houseguest – and she’s ravenously hungry. They do their best to keep her fed and happy, but Beatrice always demands more. As she burrows deeper and deeper into their lives, the couple faces a horrific question: what will it cost to exorcise Beatrice forever?
