SEEKING:
GREGORY - 50s male. Strong bari-tenor. Still handsome, though he would argue he isn't. Charming, funny in a self-deprecating way, loves the golden age of Hollywood and seriously pursued a career as a set designer but gave it up easily for a more lucrative career as a freelance industrial psychologist. A bit of a crooner. When he sings, his longing, passion, and hopefulness comes out. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION
THE LADY - 30s-40s male. A true high tenor. She is an unidentifiable Hollywood silver screen icon. Elegant, world-weary demeanor and glamour of a romantic star. She is an amalgamation of Marlena, Greta, Joan, Gloria, Tallulah, Bette. Torch singer with a European cabaret flair (Brecht/Weill, Jacques Brel.) Can go from tender and understanding to mocking and even cruel when the occasion calls for it. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION
CHANCE - early 20s male. Strong pop/rock tenor. An almost unearthly, classical male beauty (Michelangelo's statue of David.) Raised in a rural area, outcast as a gay, young man. Can be very seductive, particularly to older men, yet retains some of his childlike innocence. Tough and a bit dangerous, but still vulnerable. He is searching for his self esteem. Must be comfortable appearing topless on stage and in advertising. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION
