Please prepare a short, rock song. This is an actor-musician production. Actors auditioning for the roles of DIONYSUS and POLYDORUS should also plan to accompany themselves on a short selection with a string instrument. Bring picture and resume.

BREAKDOWN
BETWEEN GODS AND KINGS presents a twisted modern adaptation of The Bacchae by Euripides. An original rock score to brings to life the conflict between two long lost cousins, the unyielding king Pentheus and a vengeful god Dionysus, both desperately fighting to hold on to power of their kingdom. The king's strong-willed mother, Agave, and the people of Thebes are caught in the crossfire of this epic battle. How far will they go to protect their family name, and at what cost? BETWEEN GODS AND KINGS asks, is your life really yours when you’re stuck between gods and kings?
ACTORS OF ALL CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
DIONYSUS: The God of Wine, and son of Zeus and Agave's late sister Semele. Leader of the Bacchae revelers in the forest. Knows how to throw a good party. Rock Tenor. Plays Guitar.
PENTHEUS: The tightly wound, young king of Thebes, son of Agave and the late Echion. Rock Tenor. No Instrument.
AGAVE: Mother of King Pentheus, sister of Polydorus and the late Semele. Rock Mezzo- Belter. No Instrument.
POLYDORUS: Commander of the guard of Thebes; Pentheus’ uncle and Agave's brother. Rock Baritone. Plays Bass.
