Levora Verona – Female 30-50 African American. A flamboyant and glamorous faded disco diva. Pushy and sassy but in love with her sweet dog. Great pop belt. Vocal range top: E5

LOVE, LIES AND THE DOCTOR’S DILEMMA – Farce comedy by Michael Parker & Susan Parker

JOAN SCHELLER (Age 45+) Unconventional and free spirited. Quick thinking and resourceful. Her seemingly innocent white lies create chaos and confusion throughout the play.

SANDY/aka “DOCTOR GARDENER” (Age 45+) Easy going, mild mannered. Caught in the middle of Joan’s white lies he goes along with her deception, but at what cost? Continued below

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE – music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss.

Marcy Park - (Age 20 – 30) A recent transfer from Virginia, Marcy placed ninth in last year's nationals. She speaks six languages, is a member of all-American hockey, a championship rugby player, plays Chopin and Mozart on multiple instruments, sleeps only three hours a night, hides in the bathroom cabinet, and is getting very tired of always winning. She is the poster child for the Over-Achieving Asian, and attends a Catholic school called Our Lady of Intermittent Sorrows. She is also not allowed to cry. Vocal range - C4 - E5

SWEENEY TODD – with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler.

Adolfo Pirelli: (Age 30s), an Irish con man pretending to be Italian (so, 2 accents). A flashy showman with a big voice and dramatic gestures, he sells fake medicine and collects as much money as he can. Vocal range - Tenor – High note F#4/Gb4 Low note G#2/Ab2

BIG THE MUSICAL – John Weidman, book; David Shire, music; Richard Maltby, lyrics; based upon the film Big, written by Gary Ross and Anne Spielberg; Geoff Josselson, casting dir.

George MacMillan – (Age 60 – 69) The owner of the MacMillan Toy Company, who is fighting to save his company; distinguished and intimidating with a playful side underneath; spry and unpredictable, a powerful man who knows how to keep people on edge; Vocal range - bari-tenor.

MAMMA MIA - Music and Lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson Book by Catherine Johnson

Tanya Cresham-Leigh – (Age around 40) One of Donna’s oldest and best friends, has married several millionaires and discovered a lot more about plastic surgery than love - to the extent that she was ever looking. Wild, fun-loving and a big character, she flirts mercilessly with young men, happy to play, but not to stick around. (Chiquitita, Dancing Queen, Super Trooper, Does Your Mother Know, among others) Vocal range E5 to bottom E3

Rosie Mulligan Donna’s friend (Age around 40, American, often plus-size) a former member of the Dynamos; unmarried, free-spirited and a renowned author of cookbooks. A character who has developed a confident, funny and self-deprecating exterior which masks her inner vulnerability. Mostly comic, yet one of the most poignant moments in the show in the heart of Act 2. Dances like nobody’s watching. (Chiquitita, Dancing Queen, Super Trooper, Take a Chance on Me, among others) Vocal range top: D5 to bottom: E3

EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL

Ash – (Age 20 – 35) hero and iconic character of the musical, devoted S-Mart housewares employee evolves over the course of the show from a cowardly college student to a wise cracking deadite slayer with his detachable hand chainsaw and 12 gauge boomstick, must be at least 6' tall, in good shape, and good looking. Vocal range - Bari-Tenor Rock vocal range B2 - Bb4
