Edmonton Winds will present the first concert of their 2024-2025 season, Pipe Dreams and Premieres on November 17. The concert will be held at the Myer Horowitz Theatre (University of Alberta,  8900 114 St) at 2 pm. 

Pipe Dreams and Premieres will feature legendary flautist, Jim Walker performing a new arrangement of Edmonton composer, Allan Gilliland's 'Pipe Dreams'. The concert will also host serveral premieres, including two pieces composed by Edmonton Winds' band members: Joe Semple's 'The Banks of the Rideau'; and 'The Knight of the Sorrowful Face' by Sean Bumstead. 'The War of Wind and Stone' by Schubert Hernando, winner of the Edmonton Winds composition competition, will also be performed for the first time. 

Tickets for Pipe Dreams and Premieres range  from $5 - $20 and are on sale now at edmontonwinds.com.
