DM Playhouse Introduces Century Club

The Des Moines Community Playhouse is celebrating its 100th anniversary by looking forward to the next century. To build upon this history, the Playhouse is introducing a new opportunity for donors, the Century Club. The Century Club is a new donor opportunity that will create a $1 million endowment and build a legacy for future Playhouse generations.

The Playhouse is seeking 10,000 gifts of $100 or more to build up $1 million for the Century Club endowment. Anyone who donates at least $100 will become members of the Century Club. Members can spread their payments over five years. For their generosity, donors will receive exclusive lapel pins that show their level of support. Members are encouraged to exceed $100 and even include the Playhouse in their estate plan.

David Kilpatrick, executive director of the Playhouse, said, "The Century Club is a great way to support the Des Moines Community Playhouse and give it a secure financial footing as it embarks into the next century. We're so grateful to our supporters from the last 100 years, and we know we can depend on them for the next 100 years."

The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
