Playhouse On Park Presents Lauren Gunderson's THE REVOLUTIONISTS

The next show running in Playhouse on Park's Main Stage Series is Lauren Gunderson's The Revolutionists, a grand and dream-tweaked comedy about art and activism, feminism and terrorism, violence and legacy, and changing the world. This provocative play runs February 20-March 10; opening night, including a complimentary wine and cheese reception, is set for February 22.
Four badass women lose their heads in The Revolutionists, an irreverent, girl-powered comedy set during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen (and fan of ribbons) Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, murder Marat, and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793 Paris. In light of current events, we know that this production is relevant to our times in, at the very least, sparking discussion and cultivating community.
On March 7, there will be a Young Professionals Night Out special event during the run of The Revolutionists! If you're a young professional (ages 21-35), join Playhouse on Park's Young Professionals Advisory Board for a pre-show reception complete with light snacks, wine and beer before the show. The young professionals rate for this show is $25, all seats reserved.
On Friday, March 8, guests of the show will be treated to a Cocktails and Conversation post-show talkback and reception featuring actors and local women who have made a difference in our community as artists, entrepreneurs, and advocates.
A specially priced Tuesday matinee is also scheduled for this show on February 26 at 2pm, with all tickets priced at $22.50, all seats reserved.
Tickets are now on sale, and range from $30-$40. Student, Senior and Let's Go Arts discounts are available. Previews are on February 20 and 21, with all tickets at $17.50.
