Hong Kong Repertory Theatre Brings FATHER to Hong Kong City Hall Theatre

Father, put on by Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, comes to the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre this May sponsored by the China Merchants Wing Lung Bank.

The play opens 4 May, 2019 with a closing night set for 18 May. Father is directed by Feng Weiheng and features Peng Xingying, Gao Hanwen, Xin Weiqiang, and Huang Huici.

Seeing that his elderly father gradually lost his ability to live independently, Anne, who was living with her boyfriend, decided to take her father home to live together in order to take care of her father. The father who suffers from cognitive disorders is sometimes confused and vague. In his cognition, the "reality" gradually disintegrates, which immediately leads to many contradictions between him and Anne. Carrying the responsibility for his father's love and family, Anne was forced by the reality to breathe, forcing her to make "appropriate" choices. Father struggled in the last years, can he escape the control of fate?
