Katie McGrath In AUNT OF THE YEAR at Don't Tell Mama

Katie McGrath, award-winning Manhattan cabaret performer, brings her practice of cause-driven cabaret for an encore performance at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, Apr 18th at 7pm.

Her show, "Aunt of the Year," explores how a happily childless, pleasure-seeking single woman became a besotted aunt to a tribe of nieces and nephews. Rick Jensen, celebrated composer and pianist, is the Music Director. Lina Koutrakos is the Director.

For this performance, 100% of her proceeds will be donated to New York Common Pantry, the organization dedicated to reducing hunger throughout New York City while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. Tickets are $20 plus a 2-drink minimum, cash only.

McGrath noted, "I volunteer at New York Common Pantry (NYCP). It's a remarkable organization, providing a wide array of services to establish long-term independence for those they serve."

Praise for Katie McGrath:

"Katie McGrath has already pursued, captured, and pretty much perfected cabaret performance." Gerry Geddes, Bistro Awards

"A perfect blend of laughter and tears delivered by a singer who is now a master of her art...powerfully genuine stage presence...her singing had the immediacy and emotional truth that is at the heart of cabaret performance." - Chuck Lavazzi, Cabaret Scenes

"McGrath is genuine, engaging, comedic, sings from the heart and cherishes the lyric! What a pure pleasure to have been in the same room with Katie, whose NYC debut was as good as they come!" - Scott Barbarino, NitelifeExchange
