Cannes Film Festival Unveils 2019 Lineup

On 18 April 2019, the Official Selection for the 72nd edition of the Festival de Cannes was unveiled at the annual meeting with French and international press, with both Pierre Lescure, President of the Festival de Cannes and General Delegate Thierry Frémaux present.

The lineup includes names such as Pedro Almodovar (Pain & Glory), Terrence Malick (A Hidden Life) and Ken Loach (Sorry We Missed You). There are also four female directors in Competition, the most of any recent year. They include Jessica Hausner's Little Joe and Céline Sciamma's Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.
