Does anyone know at what performances Kerry Ellis will be on for Idina Menzel? Going to see the maitnee performance on Saturday October 14th and desperate to see Idina in the role. Am hoping that like Evita the lead alternate is on Monday eves and weekday matinee performances.
No offence to Kerry will definately go again when she is the lead but have got to see the original Elphaba!

Kerry and Annalee are standbys not alternates. Both Helen and Idina are scheduled to do all eight performances.
Trying to predict 100% if someone is going to be off sick is like counting the pidgeons in trafalgar square

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Posted: 9/4/06 at 8:23pmI might see it in London (3rd time seeing it) just to see Elinor Collet. I have seen Idina twice so its not really too special for me, but I love Elinor!

Posted: 9/12/06 at 1:06amI'm mildly depressed that I am not going to London for my semester abroad until june and will be missing the lovely Idina, although it will be nice to finally see a non-recycled actress' take on the role.

Posted: 9/13/06 at 6:20pmI was lucky to see Idina on Saturday and I have to say, she was excellent and made the show. That said, the rest of the cast were also excellent and I am quite sure when Kerry takes over in Jan 07, she will be just as excellent - don't worry about understudies, just go and enjoy the show, is more than just the people. My only concern about the show was the lack of a big number at the end, meaning that the end was a bit of a wimper - only my view.
