What makes it big besides the orchestra?

Know nothing about Mary but JOB was one of the best pieces I have seen in years, and must be VERY cheap to put on with minimal set and two roles. It would be amazing at Circle in the Square and while I would want Friedman and Lemmon to get another crack at it, its the perfect show for bigger names to dip in for a bit. Fingers crossed this happens.

What? The show's origin was at the Gershwin, the largest theatre on Broadway.

You cannot possibly be serious with this.

Idk, I was watching this last revival with the new cast thinking, I can see how this worked well off broadway.  Theres nothing in there that screams it needs to be big.  Theres no big choreographed numbers, no special effects, doesn’t need a huge cast.

I beg of you quit making comments like this.  Please educate yourself about this show and many others that you make ridiculous comments about.

Stage is very high too. There is nothing intimate about that theatre. Title of Show was dooomed in that space.

Just the other day on the subway I heard dozens of people saying how title of show would still be running if it had only transferred to the Barrymore.

Sweeney Todd can range from being a very big show to a very small show. That's kind of the beauty of it. The original's physical production was literally a massive disassembled factory.
