Sad to see it go, was really hoping we'd get that cast album before it left. Yes the music wasn't amazing but I really did like that one song, scream for the money.

That awesome puppet won a goddamn Tony.  Nothing to be ashamed of! And, the Kong cake was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life.  A tiny little angry Kong....the best!

Or Universal Studios.  No reason they can't sell this show somewhere else.  It really was an incredible experience even though it's not great musical.

Been on the fence about seeing it. Is it worth it to see the puppet, or have we seen the majority of what it does from the clip that have been shared on TV?

Agreed. You just have to witness it in person! I may go back before it closes.

I would love to see Broadway trade puppet-centric theme park shows. Move King Kong to Universal where a 45-minute cut would be enough to satisfy tourists, in exchange have Disney rework Finding Nemo for Broadway audiences. That one deserves another go, especially considering the Lopezes have since won an Oscar for Coco and put out Frozen in the time since Nemo premiered.

I'm surprised this lasted as long as it did.  It was in the wrong location, and I don't mean the particular theater, I mean on Broadway itself.  It was more of a stunt show or a movie theme park ride.  Vegas, Universal Studios, Orlando ... they have places for these kinds of shows and Broadway still isn't one of them.

I know many people think Broadway itself has turned into the northeast version of a theme park, with 'Phantom', 'Chicago' and 'The Lion King' being the favorite rides for returning tourists, but it's not there yet.  'King Kong' was never going to last on Broadway.
