Let’s say you had the ability to see any eight productions, past or present (maybe even future) to see in one week without worrying about ticket price or anything, what shows or specific productions would they be? Or which cast members/replacements would have been in it? Maybe even a bonus 9th show on Monday, Broadway or off! Lol. Feel free to elaborate if you wish! Just a fun Sunday polling.

Great question!

1) Our American Cousin, the night Lincoln was shot, and I would do my best to stop Booth.  Assuming I am not killed in the process...

2) The Glass Menagerie, to see Laurette Taylor

3) A Streetcar Named Desire, the night (I think it only happened once) Uta Hagen and Marlon Brando played opposite each other

4) South Pacific, with its original Broadway cast

5) Bus Stop, for a chance to see Kim Stanley

6) My Fair Lady, to see Julie Andrews as Eliza

7) West Side Story, with its original cast

8) Oh Dad, Poor Dad, to see that amazing cast even though I doubt I would love the play and might regret not giving this slot to the original production of She Loves Me

Busy week of fabulous OBCs:

Roar of the Greasepaint

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Lolita My Love (Nickerson tryout)

Merrily (1st preview)

Love Life

A Letter To Queen Victoria

Allegro

Follies

And then I would cap it with the full 24-Decade History of Popular Music, which would probably kill me and that would honestly be my preferred way to go.

Does anyone know if any video footage of BALLROOM exists? I'm aware of the original TV ad on YouTube but that seems to be about all there is online.
