Anyone want to do an exchange program and I'll go to London to see this and you can come to the US and see a show?  hehe

I think it’s closed already.

I really hope we get to see it in New York.

If they were looking to transfer it, they would likely try to bring it to the West End first before immediately making the leap across the pond. And I haven’t even heard anything about it transferring to the West End.

It seems unlikely to me that she will want to uproot herself for a full run here, but maybe she could do a week at BAM or something like that.

I was lucky enough to see the show on my London trip - it’s not a physically demanding role (she’s literally just sitting in a chair the whole time), but I imagine it’s very mentally and emotionally taxing.

I went, it was pretty good, but it is literally her sitting in a chair talking for 2 hours and what's coming out of her mouth isn't always very interesting.

It’s not the most amazing text you’ll ever hear but it’s the perfect vehicle for an aged actress with a strong and warm personality. It’s exactly the kind of thing I’d pay big $$$ to see Angela Lansbury do. Maggie was great.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
