I think the big winners will be Hadestown, Samantha Barks, and Santino Fontana.

The competition would have to be very weak for Samantha to even get a nomination. Seems like it very well may be. I doubt the show will make it to the spring l, so they’ll be forgotten come awards time.

Have you seen Pretty Woman? The show may be overall weak but Samantha was SENSATIONAL and multiple reviews, and members of this board have said so. Samantha WILL get a nomination, and I wouldn't be surprised if she won.

We're so ridiculous. I love it.

I'm going to take an absolutely blind shot in the dark and say that Kelli O'Hara might be a strong contender for lead actress in a musical.

I do wonder how The Boys in the Band will be remembered since it will be long closed by Tony time.

I think that Kelli O'Hara is going to get nominated on her name alone, but I think that Samantha will have stiff competition from Stephanie J Block specifically, and if Dreamgirls comes in Amber Riley will surely be nominated. I see The Cher Show at the end of June and I can't wait to report back on that one.

i think next year will be much a much more robust group of shows and agree sj block and kelli ohara are safe bets for best actress nominations. loved samantha barks in 25 th anniv les miz and found her to be very flat in amelie. love the movie pretty woman and hoping she does better in this role.

Barks isn't winning. I'd be surprised if she even got nominated. She was boring out of town. Another pretty, bland, pop belt, ingenue. No thanks.

God, I hope Tootsie transfers in the spring. I'm dying to see Santino in that role.

I think this will be a Moulin Rouge vs. Hadestown season, in terms of musicals.

For plays, I think The Ferryman will take a lot, though I'm curious how strong a competitor Mockingbird will be.

I feel like Mockingbird is going to be incredible, that cast, The Shubert, Rudin will certainly be making sure it is the best it can be.

Moulin Rogue? Aaron Tviet and Karen Olive for Leading Actor/Actress? I’d love to see Aaron finally get his nom!

I'm excited about Mockingbird, but I'm also scared to get super excited for another Rudin thing this far ahead of time after seeing what happened with Carousel. Although, I trust it with Bart at the helm.

Yes, indeed. I think everybody is waiting eagerly for the Moulin Rouge!, Hadestown, and Tootsie transfer announcements for the season to get exciting. We're also in dire need of some more musical revivals!

Wonder if Sondheim's new musical will sweep in and save the day. Also, William Finn's The Royal of Broadway will be opening at Barrington. If it does well, I wonder if it'll make it to this season.

I see Hadestown dominating next season however, I hope they transfer.

Any news if Girl From the North Country is going to transfer? I know it is playing in Toronto from Feb to Mar. If it opens in time (like late April), I think it could be a contender for Best Musical.

I wonder if we should also expect Dave to transfer next season?

How do you guys think the Head Over Heels cast will be categorized in the acting categories? Is it possible they will all be considered featured?
