This King Lear playbill is so baffling to me. I don't know what they want us (the audience) to think when seeing it. It doesn't look like "King Lear", it just looks like Glenda Jackson at a rehearsal.
I had assumed that GARY would be using a rehearsal photo seeing as it's a Rudin production, but I'm very glad to see that their beautiful artwork is being utilized. Maybe the last minute cast change during rehearsals had something to do with that?
Now I just hope they'll stick with this for the run and not switch to a production photo, the way WAVERLY GALLERY did.
