Winter seems to be creeping into Mississippi at the moment, but on November 10th, Jersey Boys brought all Four Seasons to the stage at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson.

Picture this: Eight people living in a secret annex over a functioning business, spending their days in silence for fear of losing their lives.  Now imagine that being your life for 2 whole years. That was the reality for the Frank family, the Van Daan family, and a Mr. Dussel, who joined them in their hiding place a few months into their stay.

You've been invited to a baby shower in an upscale neighborhood for a member of a well-respected family. Sounds like a lovely, laid back way to spend an afternoon, right? Guess again!

When the lights went down at Thalia Mara Hall on May 3rd before the band began playing, the silence seemed to be electrified. Once the Jackson, MS performance by Celtic Woman's Homecoming tour got underway, however, it was apparent that no one in the audience wanted that silence to return. Closing out Thalia Mara's 2017/2018 season, the production ended the year's events with a performance well-deserving of the standing ovation received.

"Reach out and touch somebody's hand, make this world a better place if you can." With its incredible opportunities for audience participation, the cast of Motown the Musical did just that at their performance on March 7th. Stopping for one night in Jackson, Mississippi, the tour made the world a better place for the theatre-goers in the audience of Thalia Mara Hall.

Monday night's performance of Chicago the Musical began with a promise of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and a little treachery, a promise it delivered upon in spades. The musical's national tour stopped at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi as a part of the Broadway in Jackson series presented by Trustmark. The tour itself is presented by Barry & Fran Weissler.

On February 7th, Dorothy, Toto, and all of their friends made a stop in Jackson, Mississippi on their way to the Emerald City. In addition to the young lady wearing the famous blue-checkered dress and ruby slippers on the stage, there were at least a dozen miniature Dorothys scattered throughout the audience in the auditorium of Thalia Mara Hall. The theater was packed with audience members of all ages who had come to experience the nostalgia and magic of the beloved movie musical The Wizard of Oz on stage.

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage brings fans of the classic movie and theatre alike to Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson Mississippi for a night of nostalgia and excitement.

The Christmas festivities didn't end on December 25th this year for many theatre-goers in Jackson, Mississippi. Attendees of all ages could be found in the auditorium at Thalia Mara Hall for the December 26th performance of A Christmas Story: The Musical.
