Juliana Asbill

Hi, all! I’m an assistant teacher from Madison, Mississippi in a first grade class and am kept on my toes daily! I also work at a vet clinic and the barn where my horse lives, so I'm always on the go, but seeing musicals is a way I can quiet my mind and fill my cup for a few hours amidst my constantly crazy schedule. I saw my first show, Wicked, at the Kennedy Center in 2011 and I was hooked. Since then, I've been privileged enough to see over 45 different shows and meet some amazing members of the theatrical community. I just love any time I can spend in a theatre and I'm so grateful to get to be a part of the theatre community in this way! Outside of my interest in Broadway, I love spending time with my pets (a horse named Edward, a cat named Peaches, and a dog named Stitch), Stitch (hence my pup's name), crafting, and reading. Happy to be in this space!

Too many! Wicked will always be a sentimental one for me, though. Beetlejuice takes close second for similar reasons. The impact they’ve had on my life will never be erased or forgotten. As for the rest…I can’t possibly choose! 🙈

When the lights went down at Thalia Mara Hall on May 3rd before the band began playing, the silence seemed to be electrified. Once the Jackson, MS performance by Celtic Woman's Homecoming tour got underway, however, it was apparent that no one in the audience wanted that silence to return. Closing out Thalia Mara's 2017/2018 season, the production ended the year's events with a performance well-deserving of the standing ovation received.
