Cia. da Revista celebrates its 25th anniversary with the premiere of the musical Tatuagem, directed by Kleber Montanheiro, The show premieres on April 14 at Espaco Cia da Revista, where it runs from Thursday to Saturday at 9 pm and on Sundays at 7 pm.

Due to be released simultaneously with the English production starring Timothee Chalamet at the Old Vic Theater, it was named the #1 Play or Musical by Time Magazine in 2012.

I Capuleti e i Montecchi, opera by V. Bellini, will be performed in April at Theatro Sao Pedro. With libretto by Felice Romani, the opera is not based on Shakespeare's famous text. Staged by Antonio Araujo and musical direction by Alessandro Sangiorgi, the cast includes singers Denise de Freitas (Romeo) and Carla Cottini (Giullietta).

In April, Sao Paulo’s Theatro Municipal presents two operas by Plinio Marcos: Navalha na Carne and Homens de Papel. Both productions are the first operas specially commissioned by the theater. Disney In Concert - The Songs From Your Favorite Movies Live comes back to Brazil in march for presentations at Teatro Bradesco, in Sao Paulo. Show features songs from classic and current Disney’s movies performed by an orchestra and with incredible projections on a big screen. The premiere takes place on March 10 and tickets are already on sale on the website and at the physical box office

With 16 shows eligible for consideration, Barnum leads the list with 8 nominations, followed by the musicals The Color Purple and Silvio Santos Vem Ai, with 7 nominations each. The story is based on the character Luna, who gives the show its name, a young girl who lived all her life in the Arereje Community, a hippie refuge created by her parents hidden from the big cities. She lives a quiet life, but when she turns 18, she finds herself an orphan and feels something is missing from all that Paradise. Sponsored by the Government of Goiás, is based on the Seven Deadly Sins and how they manifest themselves in contemporary life they punctuate the scene through the great Broadway hits.

Theatro Sao Pedro closes the opera season with the debut of the opera Signor Bruschino, by Rossini. With staging and lighting by Caetano Vilela, the production will be musically directed by Claudio Cruz, who will command the Theatro Sao Pedro Orchestra. The costumes are by Gabriel Villela. Saulo Javan plays Bruschino and Savio Sperandio, Gaudenzio.

Staged in an amphitheater, the play COCK, by British author Mike Barlett, is directed by Nelson Baskerville, and premieres December 2nd through 18th, free of charge, at the Centro Cultural Oswald de Andrade. Brazilian staging was created by Andrea Dupré & Daniel Tavares, who are also in the cast alongside Hugo Coelho and Marco Antônio Pâmio

Following the project Shakespeare is Pop, Sonhos Entertainment announces its new production: Royals - O Musical, based on The Taming of the Shrew. In its 2nd show, which proposes to revisit the Bard's works with modern reinterpretations in the musical format and LGBTIQA+ language, it will run for a short season at Teatro West Plaza, Fridays at 9PM.

Theatro Sao Pedro premieres the satirical ballet chante The Seven Deadly Sins, the last collaboration between Kurt Weil and Bertolt Brecht. The production will be musically directed by Ira Levin, who will command the Theatro Sao Pedro Orchestra. The Seven Deadly Sins opens on November 5th. In all, there will be 8 recitals until the 14th.
