Chris has been writing with BroadwayWorld since 2014. He's also an actor, typically performing in musicals based on movies where he dies. He almost won a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Scott in Evil Dead: The Musical, but he was ousted by an actual Broadway veteran. He's actively recovering from the loss.

There's a place in pop culture for ritzy housewives. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure that place is in Cherry Creek just yet.
The Platte Valley Players of Brighton, Colorado are presenting the wildly popular and wildly funny play Sylvia by A.R. Gurney at The Armory Performing Arts Center in Brighton, Colorado through May 15th.
Catch Me If You Can The Musical, currently playing at the Aurora Fox Arts Center, has the perfect mix of an exciting score and stellar design team with a cast sparkling with talent.
The musical Death Takes a Holiday, currently playing at the Arvada Center, doesn't just breathe a little life into Death-it makes him out to be a hopeless romantic.
Ignite Theatre is known for taking on edgier shows, so it's no surprise when the cast of their current production struts onto the stage baring skin with sexy attire. And this isn't the first time.
Ladies and gentlemen, you can't imagine the rapture in store for you with Denver Center Theatre Company's killer production of Sweeney Todd.
A finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Amy Herzog's 4000 Miles is currently playing at Miners Alley Playhouse in downtown Golden.
There are a few places in downtown Denver where you can learn to murder someone, probably. I'd recommend you go with the one where there's singing and dancing. A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder is playing at the Buell Theatre through the end of February. The other options probably aren't quite as pleasant. (Not to be confused with Murder for Two, playing just across the way in the Garner Galleria.)
The Addams Family has been playing BDT Stage in Boulder since November, but even though death is just around the corner for this show's run, it still manages to be everything but neat, sweet and petite. (Which is exactly what an homage to the classic family deserves.)
There's currently a live version of the classic movie Dirty Dancing touring, and it's in Denver through the end of the month. I'll admit, I've never seen the film version of Dirty Dancing. (I swear, it's the truth.) But I had the time of my life. (OK, sorry.)
While Violet may appear to be in new musical in some theatergoers' eyes, the show actually has been around for a couple decades. Making its start Off-Broadway in 1997, Violet was considered a revival for its 2014 Broadway run starring Sutton Foster. Adapted from Doris Betts' story 'The Ugliest Pilgrim,' the musical has a book and lyrics by Brian Crawley with music by Jeanine Tesori (whose work can currently be heard on Broadway in Fun Home).
Murder for Two is currently playing the Garner Galleria at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
You take your seat as a man in a vest and untucked shirt offers you fancy grapes (grah-pays) on a skewer. You're about to catch a performance of a multi-million dollar show--kinda. Only it's in the apartment of a vacationing proctologist, and the writers haven't really put that much money into it yet.
Cast members from 'A Christmas Story, The Musical' performed a late-night holiday cabaret benefit concert at Hard Rock Cafe. One hundred percent of ticket sales equally benefitted Denver Center for the Performing Arts Education and Denver Health Foundation's holiday initiative to provide families in the surgical ICU, medical ICU and in the Pediatric Unit with festive meals and visits with Santa.
The holidays are generally a good time to reconnect with your old Peanuts pals. But this time, they're about 10 years older...and maybe Charlie Brown isn't such a good man anymore.
When four high school students decide to visit a supposedly haunted house on Halloween night, they have no idea what to expect. Their stereotypical characters and token, morally reprehensible choices only add to the intrigue. Hasn't it always been a drag to know exactly how this story ends? Or do you?
