The Landestheatre Linz is getting ready for CHESS IN CONCERT. The stage will be shared by the amazing Bruckner Orchestra, the choir, the musical ensemble and their leading actors.

The Musical from Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Sir Tim Rice will be played in german (translated by Kevin Schröeder).

One cast member has an all American season. Gernot Romic (former Jerry Mullin in the first german production of An American in Paris) is playing Freddy Trumper in the concert version. After dancing his heart out as Jerry Mullin, Romic is getting ready to do the same but this time with his voice . His PITY THE CHILD, will be an undeniable highlight of the semi staged concert.

Performances are limited to a 6 show run. Romic will be joined by Anais Lueken (Florence Vassy), Christian Fröhlich (Anatoly Sergievsky), Rafael Helbig-Kostka (Walter de Courcey), Darian Anderson Worrell ( Alexander Molokov), Ariana Schirasi-Fard (Arbiter) and Hanna Kastner (Svetlana Sergievskaya), together with the musical ensemble Linz, the choir and extra choir.

The concert will be directed by Petra Jagusic. Choreography by Lynsey Thurgar. Under the baton of Musical Director Tom Bitterlich.
