Comedian Theo Von Will Embark On Australian Tour

TEG Dainty and Nice Events have announced that rising star, Theo Von-creator of the Netflix Original comedy special No Offense and popular podcasts This Past Weekend & The King and The Sting-will bring his live comedy show to Australia for the very first time in 2019.

The tour opens up in Melbourne on Friday 24 May and moves on to Sydney on Saturday 25 May and Perth on Sunday 26 May before winding up in Brisbane on Saturday 1 June.

Tickets go on sale Monday 11 February, 12pm local time for the four-city tour.

Theo-a Louisiana native with unmistakable southern charm-has exploded onto the comedy scene in recent times and is a rising star in the podcast world.

This Past Weekend is currently one of the top comedy podcasts in this highly coveted space, garnering 3.5+ million listens per month. Theo releases new episodes twice a week, during which he gives his take on recent events, offers earnest suggestions to callers and interviews interesting individuals (including Jim Jeffries, Chris D'Elia, Dr Jordan Peterson, Bobby Lee, Eddie Bravo, Joey Diaz, Jocko Willink and more).

Theo also has a new podcast with Brendan Schaub called King and the Sting. The pair are known affectionately by their fans as 'The Rat King' and the 'Beekeeper'.

Theo has appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, is a regular fixture on Joey Diaz's The Church of What's Happening Now and was voted guest of the year on The Fighter and The Kid in 2017.

Recently, Theo appeared in season 4 of Comedy Central's This is Not Happening. He also starred in Trevor Moore's Comedy Central special The Story of our Times and in his own digital series 'Man Up' for Comedy Central, which is now being formatted for television.

Previously, Theo was the host of TBS's hidden camera show Deal with It from Howie Mandel. He also hosted Yahoo's popular daily recap show Primetime in No Time-one of the most-watched shows on the web with almost one million views per day.

Theo has made appearances on Inside Amy Schumer, NBC's Last Comic Standing, Why? With Hannibal Buress, Arsenio, Live at Gotham, and was the winner of Comedy Central's Reality Bites Back.
