Cirque Du Soleil's TOTEM Says Goodbye To London's Royal Albert Hall

This week sees the final few days of Cirque du Soleil's TOTEM at London's Royal Albert Hall. Approaching it's 10th successful year of touring since it's 2010 debut, more than 5 million audience members from over 45 cities around the world have been mesmerised by the production. TOTEM must end at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday 26 February 2019. The company will then travel to Vienna and tour across Switzerland, Spain and Germany.

Opening with the charity royal premiere in the presence of TRH's the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, last week TOTEM also had the honour of opening the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards with a striking Russian bars performances inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

On an island evoking the shape of a giant turtle, TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. Through a visual and acrobatic language, TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential. With acrobatic performances evoking selected scenes from the story of evolution, TOTEM depicts a world of archetypal characters who, in their own way, witness and act out the perennial, existential, questions of life. Alternating between science and legend, and peppered with aboriginal stories of creation, TOTEM explores the evolutionary progress of species, Man's ongoing search for balance, and the curiosity that propels him ever further, faster, and higher...
