TAP DANCE WORKSHOP at the CHARLESTON LIGHT OPERA GUILD THEATRE on January 29th, 30th and 31st!

Hoping to brush up on your tap skills before auditioning for Charleston Light Opera Guild's production of 42nd Street? You're in luck! The guild has announced that they will be hosting three nights of free tap dance workshops (for serious/experienced dancers only) before beginning auditions.

The tap dance workshops will be held at the Charleston Light Opera Guild Theatre, located at 411 Tennessee Ave, Charleston, WV 25302, on January 29th, 30th and 31st, 2019 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM each night. The workshops are open for anybody aged high school through adult that is serious about auditioning and already has some previous dance/tap experience.

The guild will open at 7:00 PM each night. All those attending must bring tap shoes and be dressed for dance and movement.

The guild has stated that this workshop is not designed for use by those with no dance or tap experience and is specifically focused on helping those who wish to audition for 42nd Street.

These workshops are being strategically timed prior to 42nd Street auditions and will incorporate tap and other forms of dance, each night getting progressively more challenging. Dancer Adrienne Clark will be teaching the course along with Guild choreographer Nina Denton Pasinetti.

For additional information you can contact the Charleston Light Opera Guild at (304) 545-6945 or visit their Facebook or website.

42nd Street will have auditions on February 4th, 5th and 6th. Those auditioning must attend all three days. February 4th, 2019 will be the singing audition, February 5th, 2019 will be the reading audition and February 6th, 2019 will be the dancing audition. More information on the 42nd Street auditions will be provided in a future Broadway World article or you can visit Charleston Light Opera Guild's 42nd Street information webpage.
