The producers of DEAR EVAN HANSEN announced today a Montreal open call for the production, taking place at the Segal Center on August 25th for the Toronto production beginning 2019 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.

Sign in will begin at 10 AM and close at 2 PM. Auditions will continue until everyone has been seen.

Casting is taking place for the roles of Evan Hansen and Alana Beck.

Evan Hansen - Smart, sincere, and cripplingly self-conscious, Evan prefers to hover in the background, a supporting player in his own life, too afraid to step forward into the spotlight and risk ridicule or, what might be worse, no one noticing him at all.

Alana Beck - Often prone to melodrama, high school senior Alana has few friends but lacks the self-awareness to understand why. Beneath her extroverted demeanor, Alana is in fact haunted by a terrible and abiding loneliness. Tired of always being an outsider, Alana seizes the death of a classmate as an opportunity finally to find a sense of belonging.

Performers are asked to prepare 16 bars of a pop/rock or any contemporary musical theatre song with sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and resume stapled back to back.
