'THE MASK' NEW SINGLE WITH PETER JÖBACK

PETER JÖBACKS SINGLE "THE MASK" - FIRST STUDIO RECORDING IN 7 YEARS!

Now he throws the mask. On March 31, Peter Jöback finished his triumph on Broadway, where he had the prestigious title role in "The Phantom of the Opera" when this work celebrated for 30 years on Broadway.

Handpicked by Cameron Mackintosh, Hal Prince and Andrew Lloyd Webber, five years after his Broadway debut, Peter stood at The Majestic Theater's stage in the mighty jubilee performance in January, including in duet with Sarah Brightman who made the original role "Christine" in the set-up of The Phantom of the Opera. In connection with the celebration in New York, Peter opened the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, "lit" Empire State Building and participated in The Today Show and Good Day New York.

Now he throws the mask and takes a new step into a grandiose pop world with the first single "The Mask". Peter has written together with Tobias Fröberg, Kathryn Williams and Tobias Karlsson who are also responsible for the production. The four are currently preparing a completely new album with Peter coming after the summer. It has been a long creative process that began with Peter and Tobias Fröberg who then introduced the English Mercury Prize nominated Kathryn Williams in songwriting. Kathryn has worked a lot with Ed Harcourt and collaborated with David Gray, Ray Lamontagne, Boo Hewerdine and Damien Rice. Last autumn, Tobias Karlsson joined Los Angeles, from Max Martins' company MXM. worked with Adam Lambert.

"When Tobias pushed me back into writing studio, I realized how much I longed for making my own music, telling my own stories after several years of music theater. The meeting with Kathryn became equally embarrassing, together we found a language and a wonderful printer flow, "says Peter. "I wanted to make music from where I stand today, as an artist and human, in the present. The key to the cooperation I think has come from so different backgrounds but with the same love for the music and that we have always challenged each other. When I met Tobias Karlsson in Los Angeles this autumn, all pieces fell in place. With him I found the musical expression I was looking for! "

As I said, an album will be released to the premiere of Circus "Med hjärtat som insats - His Greatest Show", Peter's first own show for 20 years opening date September 20th. A unique and spectacular evening called "poptheatre".

Peter's company Sinclair Entertainment is one of the producers behind the show and now Sinclair is also the label for the single "The Mask".
