The Round Barn Theatre At Amish Acres Announces Its 2019 Seven Show Season The Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres has announced is 2019 show selections for its 24th subscription season that includes 280 performances from April 11 through December 31st. The season's theme is "Metamorphosis: The Next Stage;" a season of change, growth and transformation.

Transformations happen before audience's eyes in all seven main stage musicals and comedy. From "Life Could Be A Dream" to "Beauty And The Beast" the season highlights how the human spirit can evolve, improve or reconcile. "Life Could Be a Dream" follows a group of young boys who become singing stars; Papa Yoder, the patriarch of "Plain and Fancy", in its 33rd season admits that "we grow too soon old and too late schmart."

Disney's "Freaky Friday" is brought to stage to show a mother and daughter learn to appreciate each other, Mark Twain's Huck Finn learns along the "Big River" to love and accept all people, "Anne Of Green Gables" grows into a studious young woman and changes those around her and "The Sunshine Boys" rekindle their long broken friendship. The Holiday show, the long awaited revival of "Beauty And The Beast," is the ultimate transformation that love can bring.

"Plain and Fancy" will run Tuesday evenings, Wednesday and Saturday matinees. All other shows are performed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings plus matinees on Thursday and Sunday.


The theatre is Indiana's only resident repertory producing theatre with its own costume shop, scenic design shop and warehouse, and props department. The theatre's 33rd production of "Plain And Fancy" is the longest running annually produced Broadway show in America.

The base price for adult season tickets is $129.95 for all 7 shows and includes a free ticket to the 2018 holiday production of "Annie" if purchased by October 31st. Patrons can include the Thresher's Dinner with a Dinner and Theatre subscription for an additional charge. The purchase of each adult season ticket entitles the subscriber to one free children's ticket for any show other than "Beauty and the Beast." Other benefits to subscribing include free admission to the 2019 Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival; a VIP Card offering a 10% discount on many purchases at Amish Acres; 50% off rooms at the Inn at Amish Acres and more.

Through the Joseph Stein Young Actors Memorial Fund, Children receive free season tickets with the purchase of accompanying adult subscriptions. Early subscribers also may make seat reservations for the entire season, receive an invitation to a preview party, and receive over $100 in additional benefits, including discounted rooms at The Inn at Amish Acres.
