Geva Theatre Center presents La Cage Aux Folles, with book by Harvey Fierstein, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, based on the play by Jean Poiret, directed by Melissa Rain Anderson, with musical direction by Don Kot, and choreography by Sam Hay in the Elaine P. Wilson Stage from September 3 through October 6. 

Production images are today released for the world premiere of Vulcan 7, a new comedy written by and co-starring Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer, well known for the BRIT award-winning cult classic The Young Ones and The Comic Strip Presents… The cast is completed by Lois Chimimba (Common, wonder.land) with Steven Marmion directing.

The Rocky Horror Show is a rare theatrical phenomenon. After debuting in a small room in London's underground circuit in 1973, it became a movie, became a pop icon and never left the stage and movie screens. A true legion of fans helps maintain the aura of the musical, in special exhibitions, meetings and happenings all over the world. Four decades after its launch, Charles Moeller & Claudio Botelho will present their Brazilian version at Teatro Porto Seguro.

Its first time ever at Music Circus, the sizzling, sexy Kander and Ebb smash hit Chicago is the final show of the 2013 Music Circus season, with an extended run at the Wells Fargo Pavilion from August 20 - 29. The 1996 revival of this hit musical, one of the cornerstones of the choreographic Broadway legacy of Bob Fosse, won 6 Tony Awards and is still running on Broadway. With a plot centered on murderesses Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, on death row together fighting for the fame that may keep them from the gallows, the show features a number of popular songs including 'All That Jazz,' 'Razzle Dazzle' and 'Cell Block Tango.' These, and more escapist romps with similar bizarre names, are the products of Charles Louis Busch, an American actor, playwright and female impersonator. Many of his works, including PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, which is now in production at Blank Canvas Theatre, were written specifically as vehicles for Busch and his camp style of acting.

Lot in Life Productions, LLC presents the New York premiere of playwright Vicki Vodrey's black comedy HANKY PANKY, directed by Richard Dines as part of the twelfth annual Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) on Saturday, July 23 at 3:00pm; Sunday, July 24 at 8:00pm; Monday, July 25 at 8:00pm; and Tuesday, July 26 at 8:00pm at TBG Arts Center Main stage (312 W 36th Street, 3rd floor).

The New York premiere of PLAY DEAD, a new Off-Broadway thriller co-written and directed by Teller of Penn & Teller and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins, began performances at Off-Broadway's Players Theater 115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane on Thursday, October 21 for an open-ended run. The official press opening was Wednesday, November 10.

Circle Theatre, a professional theatre located in Sundance Square, presents the world premiere of A Lone Star Christmas Carol by Gary Moody & Gary Taylor. Preview performances for the show are Thursday, November 19; Friday, November 20; and Saturday, November 21 (matinee). The production will officially open Saturday evening, November 21 at 8:00pm, followed by a post-show party with the cast & crew.

This year's Theatre World Awards, celebrating outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway debut performances during the 2006-2007 theatrical season, was held at New World Stages on Tuesday, June 5, 2007

A press rehearsal was recently held for 'The Gypsy Robe - In Our Time,' which was presented by Actors' Equity on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium.
