Just yesterday, The Broadway League celebrated Kids' Night on Broadway with its first-ever Pop-Up Photo Booth Experience in Times Square. Free and open to the public, the specially designed 260-degree, heated photo booth welcomed theatre fans and families to take pictures in Times Square before heading to their evening performances. Joey McIntyre, currently starring as Dr. Pomatter in Waitress, hosted the event, with Caitlin Kinnunen and Isabelle McCalla, both starring in The Prom, joining the fun as social media correspondents. 

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will soon present the Broadway Center Stage production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man. It will star Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess) as Harold Hill and Tony Award®-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Carousel, Beautiful) as Marian Paroo in the starry semi-staged concert production directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful, Broadway Center Stage: How to Succeed...) with choreography by Chris Bailey (Jerry Springer: The Opera, The New Yorkers at Encores!) and music direction by James Moore (Miss Saigon, the Kennedy Center's Follies and Ragtime).

Yesterday, Carole King attended the matinee of Waitress, and posed backstage with the shows current stars, Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel, along with the rest of the cast!

Tonight Tony Award nominee Sara Bareilles, returned to her Broadway baby, Waitress in the role of Jenna, joined by Tony Award-winner, Gavin Creel as Dr. Pomatter for a limited engagement through February 3, 2019. See photos of the pars first bows!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Sara Bareilles, will return to Waitress in the role of Jenna, joined by Tony Award-winner, Gavin Creel as Dr. Pomatter for a limited engagement January 7 to February 3, 2019. Academy Award nominee June Squibb (Nebraska) has officially joined the company as 'Josie', the role formerly known as 'Joe' in Waitress! Squibb began performances on November 19 and will play through January 6, 2019.

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group, along with PR company Media Exchange and Discovery Suites Manila, formally introduced the lead cast of the international premiere of the Broadway smash musical 'Waitress' yesterday, October 18, 2018.

Portland Center Stage at The Armory's 2018-2019 season launches with the Tony Award-winning musical The Color Purple, adapted from Alice Walker's classic novel about the sisterhood, resilience and self-empowerment found in a community of black women living in rural Georgia in the early 20th century. The Color Purple begins preview performances on September 15, opens on September 21, and runs through October 28 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Timothy Douglas directs the production, joined by music director Darius Smith, who will bring the Grammy Award-winning score to life.
