Illustrious alumni will guest-curate this summer's 25-year anniversary edition of Ice Factory 2018, New Ohio Theatre's Obie Award-winning festival. Ice Factory 2018 will present eight new works over eight weeks, June 27 - August 18, at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.

One Thousand Nights and One Day (www.ProspectTheater.org) a new musical with book and lyrics by Jason Grote (1001; Shostakovich, or Silence), music by Marisa Michelson (Tamar Of The River, Naamah's Ark),and directed by Erin Ortman (For The Love Of; The Wading Pool), will play at the ART/NY Mezzanine Theatre (502 West 53rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues), it was announced today by Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director of the Prospect Theater Company. Performances for the limited engagement begin April 4 and opening night is set for April 15.One Thousand Nights and One Day is based on the play 1001 by Jason Grote.

As it turns out, his inspiration was based on the many struggles he and his wife Bella faced during the early years of their marriage when their overwhelming love for each other kept the element of sanity in an outside world gone mad. Now, the magical world of artist Marc Chagall and his wife Bella is being tenderly brought to life onstage at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) in director Emma Rice's production of Daniel Jamieson's THE FLYING LOVERS OF VITEBSK
