Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill celebrated 'The Magic of Theater by presenting the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary actor Jim Date at their Gala Benefit. The event was held at the Boathouse in Central Park at 6:30PM on May 14, 2018. The award was presented by stage and screen star Simon Jones (Farinelli and the King, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

The ALLIANCE THEATRE is pleased to announce its upcoming production of CANDIDE, directed by ALLIANCE THEATRE Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth with musical direction by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Music Director Robert Spano. Performances are May 9 - 20, 2018 in Symphony Hall, while the ALLIANCE THEATREundergoes a complete renovation. London Classic Theatre returns to the Everyman with their production of Noel Coward's comedy masterpiece, Private Lives. Olivia Beardsley and Helen Keeley reprise their roles as Sibyl Chase and Amanda Prynne and they are joined by three new cast members: Gareth Bennett-Ryan (Elyot Chase), Paul Sandys (Victor Prynne) and Rachael Holmes-Brown (Louise).

Let's Party! at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. SCAN New York received the Walmart Community Playmakers Award and a check for $1,000 on-stage before a Sesame Street Live show. As a part of the honor, Bronx children from SCAN were invited to the Sesame Street Live pre-show experience to meet Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch before enjoying the show.
