The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has released new production images featuring the previously announced new cast of the multi-award winning show, which is now playing its eighth year in the West End having opened at the Cambridge Theatre seven years ago today on 25 October 2011.

To tell the stories of the unseen and the unheard in a riotous, high-octane performance, Hot Brown Honey's Busty Beatz and Lisa Fa'alafi have teamed up with the Roundhouse and hip hop artist Yami 'Rowdy' Lofvenberg to scour London and bring together an extraordinary new league of femmes of colour. With over 250 applications for the paid opportunity from young artists with skills ranging across circus, beatboxing, spoken word, cabaret, dance and everything in between, Hive City Legacy brings intersecting tales from a new London Town to the Roundhouse stage. This unapologetic, uncensored and genre defying experience brings together performance and social activism to challenge, uplift, boundary break and celebrate. Make way for the Matriarchy.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, continues its 2017/18 season with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner by Todd Kreidler (based on the screenplay by William Rose), directed by Marti Lyons with Associate Director Wardell Julius Clark. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner runs March 15 - April 15, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8:00pm.

The Agency Theater Collective announces the Chicago holiday classic Hellcab, starring Rusty Schwimmer, written by Will Kern and directed by The Agency's Managing Director Sommer Austin playing at the Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave., November 11 December 17. American Theater Company (ATC) opens musical comedy Xanadu, the final production of its Legacy Season, this Sunday, June 5. Presented as a tribute to ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli-a not-so-secret fan of this camp classic-Xanadu is directed by Lili-Anne Brown and runs at ATC now through July 17, 2016. The production has music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same title.

The Gilroy on the Upper East Side at 1561 Second Avenue features artisanal cocktails, bar snacks and a wonderful variety of entrees.

Joel Paley has earned accolades for over two decades with RUTHLESS! The Musical, for which he wrote the award-winning book and lyrics. He also directed the original 1992 production at the Player's Theatre, as well as in L.A., South Beach, the record-breaking concert event starring Bernadette Peters, and the current smash Off-Broadway production at St. Luke's Theatre. If that isn't enough, Paley is also starring in the show this week as the 8-year-old murderous, uber-talented Tina Denmark. The role is normally played by Tori Murray who is taking a brief, well-deserved vacation as she prepares to enter sixth grade next week. She's set to return to the role tomorrow, and Joel Paley will offer audiences his showstopping take on the role one more time tonight at 7 PM. When asked why the 59-year-old Paley was interested in stepping into this seemingly impossible assignment, he merely shrugged and explained, 'The show must go on.' Scroll down for photos!
