Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan. Wiesenthal begins performances October 24 at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5. David Mirvish has finalized all the details and shows for his 2014-15 line-up of shows. There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series and nine bonus shows not on subscription. That brings the total to a record 19 shows for the 2014-15 season. The season lineup was announced during an event held on September 16 at The Royal Alexandra Theatre. The shows slated to play Toronto over the next year are: Wicked (now playing), The Book of Mormon (now playing), Our Country's Good (now playing), Arcadia, The Heart of Robin Hood, Blithe Spirit, Titanic the Musical, Kinky Boots, Disney's Newsies, Buyer and Cellar, Boom, Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike, Julie Madly Deeply, The Boy With Tape on His Face, Donny and Marie: A Broadway Christmas, Jersey Boys, Blades on Stage, Dame Edna's Glorious Goodbye, and Once.

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony® Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), kicks off a national tour tonight in Las Vegas, running through September 14, 2014, and followed by other United States west coast stops in Tempe, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Costa Mesa before heading east in 2015. Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky Boots, In the Heights national tour), one of the Angels in the original Broadway company, will strut his stuff as Lola - something he has done to great acclaim on several occasions in New York as the Lola understudy. Steven Booth (Avenue Q, Glory Days, Dogfight) will star as shoe factory owner Charlie Price. Parker and Booth will be joined by Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Lysistrata Jones) as Lauren, Joe Coots (TV's 'Inside Amy Schumer,' Full Monty national tour) as Don, Craig Waletzko (Guys & Dolls, Young Frankenstein) as George and Grace Stockdale in her touring debut as Nicola. Rehearsals are currently underway for Neil Patrick Harris' return to Broadway in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer. The limited engagement, featuring Lena Hall (Kinky Boots, lead singer of The Deafening), will begin previews Saturday, March 29 for a Tuesday, April 22 opening night at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). It's been almost a decade since the Pittsburgh-born Billy Porter released a solo album, and since then much has changed for the award-winning artist, who grew up singing in the Pentecostal church. Perhaps best known for his Tony Award-winning role as 'Lola' in the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, Porter's musical background is based in gospel, soul and R&B. He released his first solo album, Untitled, on A&M Records, and a second album, At The Corner of Broadway + Soul, on Sh-K-Boom Records. On April 15, 2014, Porter releases his debut on Concord Records, Billy's Back on Broadway. The CD is now available for pre-order on Amazon, and you can get a first look at the artwork below!

Audience members at the smash hit musical Kinky Boots were in for a special treat last night, when Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier who was named 'Best in Show' at the Westminster Dog Show earlier this week, made a surprise appearance in the Tony Award-winning show. The Broadway League announces special events scheduled to take place during KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY, Monday, February 24, 2014 to Sunday, March 2, 2014. KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY is an audience development program created by The Broadway League to make theatre accessible, encourage theatre as a form of family entertainment, and build larger audiences for the future. Earlier today, National Ambassador of KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY Idina Menzel was at Sardi's to announce this season's events. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud present the premiere of Donna McKechnie's new Talk/Variety show on Monday, December 9 at 7pm. Tony-winning choreographer/director Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) was Donna's Very Special Guest for the evening, with singers Nick Adams and Nikki MacCallum singing songs from Mitchell's hit shows. Donna and Jerry discussed life, love, careers and even ended the evening with a good, old-fashioned soft-shoe, after Mitchell demonstrated his most successful audition tune, 'I Love A Piano!'
