Just yesterday, 106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park returned this for a one-day-only event! Hosted by 106.7 LITE FM's Cubby & Christine, from the Cubby & Christine Morning Show, this year's annual presentation of open-air lunch hour performances was presented by Mercedes-Benz and Orgain.

Dance Lab New York (DLNY) has completed its Lab Cycle in collaboration with The Joyce Theater Foundation supporting female choreographers of color in ballet. Take a look at photos below! In the final two weeks of the Joyce Lab Cycle, choreographers Courtney Cochran and Margarita Armas explored the classical and neoclassical ballet idioms prior to their presentation at Works & Process at The Guggenheim.

Dance Lab New York (DLNY) is halfway through its Lab Cycle in collaboration with The Joyce Theater Foundation supporting female choreographers of color in ballet. Over the past two weeks, Amy Hall Garner and Preeti Vasudevan, have been exploring the classical and neoclassical ballet idioms with a company of eight professional dancers, supported by the DLNY Lab Cycle grant in space provided by The Joyce Theater Foundation. DLNY provided each of them with 30 hours of incubation, a stipend, eight paid professional dancers, a rehearsal director, insurances, and administrative support from DLNY staff and Founding Artistic Director, Josh Prince.

Based on the novel by C. S. Lewis and directed by Sally Cookson, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will have its first performance at the Bridge Theatre on 9 November 2019. Today (16 October 2019) rehearsal images are released on the 69th anniversary of the publication of the novel. Opening night is on 18 November and the production runs until 2 February 2020. The world premiere of Leave to Remain, a new play with songs by Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke and writer Matt Jones (Doctor Who, Mr Selfridge), runs 18 January - 16 February 2019 at the Lyric Hammersmith. Kele has written 14 original new tracks for the show and the soundtrack will be released on press night, Thursday 24 January 2019.

The world premiere of the new musical HAVANA MUSICA HALL is now playing at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Miami, Florida. The exciting new show centers around the lives of Havana Music Hall's best-known musicians who are just about to get their big break before Fidel Castro seizes power.

Portland Center Stage at The Armory's 2018-2019 season launches with the Tony Award-winning musical The Color Purple, adapted from Alice Walker's classic novel about the sisterhood, resilience and self-empowerment found in a community of black women living in rural Georgia in the early 20th century. The Color Purple begins preview performances on September 15, opens on September 21, and runs through October 28 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Timothy Douglas directs the production, joined by music director Darius Smith, who will bring the Grammy Award-winning score to life.
