THE KING AND I prepares to welcome a brand new king tomorrow!

Broadway in Bryan Park kicked off its 2015 program yesterday - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the first day. This week's line-up included performances from the casts of STOMP, FUERZA BRUTA, IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, WICKED and the help of Penn and Teller. Below, watch as Kara Lindsay, Matt Shingledecker and Caroline Bowman belt out the classic tunes of WICKED, including: 'Popular,' 'As Long As You're Mine,' and 'The Wizard and I.'

The 5th Avenue Theatre joins with producing partner Pasadena Playhouse in welcoming Emily Padgett (Broadway: Side Show, Rock of Ages), Thom Sesma (Broadway: The Times They are A-Changin', Man of La Mancha), J. Elaine Marcos (Broadway: Annie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert), and Thai superstar Bie Sukrit lead the cast of the world premiere of WATERFALL, an epic new Broadway bound musical love story, featuring a distinguished international creative team and a cast of 20. Elaine Marcos (Broadway: Annie, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert), and Thai superstar Bie Sukrit and featuring a distinguished international creative team and a cast of 20.  

On June 7, 2015, a whole new group of Broadway community members were honored with 2015 Tony Awards for their excellence in theater this past season. From first time winners to veterans, the 2015 Tony Awards were filled to the brim with exciting wins. Some of the Tony Award winners stopped by to chat with BroadwayWorld and show off their new, shiny Tony Award statues with the classic 'spinning of the Tony' and tell us what comes to mind as they spin the Tony.

Nick Bowling (Juno and The Normal Heart at Timeline Theatre) makes his Marriott Theatre directorial debut with a fresh take on this Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, merging history and romance with today's social and political issues. THE KING AND I takes audiences on an uplifting journey of the power of education as characters transform from instructor to students themselves, learning from one another in the process. In consultation with the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago, Bowling and Choreographer Tommy Rapley will explore ancient Siamese customs, dance and traditions, and bring them to life on stage.
