Rock of Ages on Stage Videos Page 2 - US Tour

The City of New York and the United States Navy and Fleet Week Committee celebrated the 24th annual Fleet Week, last week through May 30, 2011. Fleet Week is America's premier tribute and 'thank you' to the men and women who serve in the armed forces. On Friday, May 27, cast members from current Broadway shows PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, ANYTHING GOES, JERSEY BOYS, CHICAGO, MAMMA MIA and ROCK OF AGES performed for the troops. This year's festivities were hosted by Tony winner Gregory Jbara. BroadwayWorld was on hand to film the concert and brings you video highlights below!

The Rock of Ages, the Broadway hit celebrating the best rock 'n roll music of the 1980s, will perform at the Winspear Opera House through May 29, 2011.

As recently announced, Bryan Cranston, Malin Akerman, and Russell Brand have been the latest stars added to the cast of the big screen adaptation of ROCK OF AGES. Also signed on the project are Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige and Diego González Boneta. In the video below, Cruise Goes on the record about his excitement fr the project!

Constantine Maroulis and Rebecca Faulkenberry took ROCK OF AGES to DANCING WITH THE STARS tonight. Hosted by Tom Bergeron ('America's Funniest Home Videos') and Brooke Burke ('Dancing with the Stars' Season Seven Champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

LUCKY GUY will begin on Thursday, April 28, 2011 and continue through Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd Street, between 9th & Dyer Avenues). Last night, April 7 season Four IDOL finalist and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) returned to the IDOL stage to perform. Click below for his performance!

After a breif hiatus, ROCK OF AGES re-opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway last night, March 24. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The production moved houses to make way for RAIN, which had to vacate it's home at the Neil Simon Theatre to accommodate Catch Me If You Can. Last night, February 16, 2011, the first National Tour's cast of the five-time Tony Award Nominated smash hit musical ROCK OF AGES performed on "Lopez Tonight". The cast, led by Tony Award Nominee Constantine Maroulis (Drew) and Rebecca Faulkenberry (Sherrie), performed a medley of songs including "Here I Go Again" and "Don't Stop Believin". "Lopez Tonight" airs weekdays on TBS at midnight EST.

While making the press rounds to promote his new flick, Green Hornet, Seth Rogan cleared up the rumors once and for all that he will not be starring in the film version of ROCK OF AGES. Rogan tells MTV News: 'I heard that rumor, but I can't sing at all...I would be the worst guy to put in that movie. I saw 'Rock of Ages.' It was pretty good. I liked the music. But I can't sing. I think people should be aware of that...Yeah, I know nothing about any real version of that.'

Rock of Ages star Constantine Maroulis recently sat down for an interview with ABC News to talk about the show, his growth since American Idol, and the recent Times Square bomb scare. Maroulis reported that he is still a big fan of Idol, and even predicted Lee DeWyze as a possible winner for this season.

Broadway's ROCK OF AGES celebrated its 1 year anniversary on Broadway last night, April 6, 2010. In celebration, fans paid tribute to the show, revealing how the show has affected them and why they can't get enough of it. Check out the tribute below!

In a show of semi-permanent appreciation, ROCK OF AGES honored of one of its most dedicated fans and winner of its holiday 'Deck the Halls Extreme Rock' contest, Gavin Knox, this month. For the Christmas challenge, the production invited fans to submit a performance video of a holiday carol, sung in the rockin' style of the hit show. The winner was selected by ROCK OF AGES cast members, including Constantine Maroulis, Kerry Butler, and James Carpinello. The prize package included a pair of tickets to the performance, a backstage tour, a curtain call ovation, dinner for two at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, a copy of the original cast recording, and a Temptu tattoo, applied by the show's make-up artist, worn by the cast members on stage each night.

Following the announcement yesterday that American Idol mastermind Simon Cowell would be leaving the show after nine seasons to bring The X Factor to Fox in early 2011, Tony-nominee and former Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis appeared on CBS' The Early show to weigh in on Idol's loss.
