Sam Jay Gold's All Vows, A Puppet Memory Play By A Master Puppeteer makes its world premiere in May.

The UConn Asian and Asian American Studies Institute, UConn Puppet Arts Program, and Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry present a talkback about Nicotiana: A Shadow Puppet Play with Crankies by Rumput, featuring Balinese puppeteer I Gusti Putu Sudarta.

The Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust, that is behind the play also deserves a mention for the commendable work it is doing to revive an ancient craft. 

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) is pleased to a limited engagement of a new kids show, Layer the Walls. Performances will take place at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Thursday, March 1 at 11am & 8pm, Friday, March 2 at 11am & 8pm, Saturday, March 3 at 3pm & 8pm, and Sunday, March 4 at 3pm. Tickets ($18 for adults; $10 for children) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org. Layer the Walls is appropriate for ages 7 and up. 

Bristol Old Vic & Handspring Puppet Company's A Midsummer Night's Dream will run at the Barbican Theatre, Barbican Centre, London, EC2Y 8DS, Thursday 6 - Saturday 15 February 2014. Press night: Monday 10 February, 7.45pm.

The Ornery Theatre will present an original work, Cthulhu: A Puppet Play, at local art space 14 Pews from February 14-18th. Cthulhu: A Puppet Play is based on the cosmology created by the master of horror, H.P. Lovecraft (author of seminal classics The Call of Cthulhu, The Dunwich Horror , and The Dreams in the Witch House). Borrowing from Lovecraft's themes and characters, Cthulhu: A Puppet Play uses puppets, film, and an original score to capture the feeling of impending doom intrinsic to Lovecraft's works and place it in a modern setting.
