An extension has been announced for Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution following the production's recent fifth anniversary.   Audiences will now be able to watch the trial of Leonard Vole at the magnificent London County Hall until 8 October 2023.

A great new cast has just taken to the stage in Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution. Settle in, pay close attention and you’ll soon be wrapped up in trying to work out who’s guilty.

The new cast includes Joshua Glenister as the accused, Leonard Vole, opposite Lauren O’Neil as Romaine. Owen Oakeshott will play Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC. He is joined by Peter Landi as Mr Mayhew, Richard Teverson as Mr Myers QC, and James Hayes as Mr Justice Wainwright.

The trial of Leonard Vole will continue at London County Hall as the run of Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution is extended to 25 September 2022. The hit production returned to the historic venue in September with a brand-new cast and was met by standing ovations and critical acclaim. 

Based on Agatha Christie’s 1925 short story, Witness For The Prosecution was well-established at London’s County Hall before the pandemic. It now makes a welcome return and is as ingenious as ever. We are all used to seeing television adaptations of Christie’s work, but Lucy Bailey’s creative version takes all the theatrics of a courtroom and translates it neatly into a truly immersive production.

Audiences were welcomed back to the iconic London County Hall last night as Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution reopened with a brand-new cast following a 78 week closure due to the pandemic. The acclaimed production opened its doors in time to celebrate what would have been Agatha Christie’s 131st birthday today, Wednesday 15 September.

The Agatha Christie favourite Witness for the Prosecution appears to be a jury-pleaser. Opening in 2017, it's currently booking at London's historic County Hall until September 2020 - surpassing the play's original West End run. Eleanor Lloyd Productions and Rebecca Stafford Productions today announce further tickets for Witness for the Prosecution will go on sale to the general public on Thursday 28 February 2019. The production, which has now surpassed the original West End run in at the Winter Garden Theatre (now the Gillian Lynne Theatre), will be extending into its third year at London's historic County Hall. Tickets will be available until 29 March 2020.

Reid is best known for most recently playing character Ben Mitchell for nearly four years on BBC1's EastEnders. Reid will be joined by Lucy Phelps (Call the Midwife, Anthony & Cleopatra, King Charles III) as Romaine, Richard Clothier (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Graduate) as Sir Wilfrid Robarts, Julian Curry (The Alchemist, Rumpole of the Bailey) will play Mr Justice Wainwright and Peter Moreton (The Winter's Tale, Shakespeare in Love) who will be playing Mr Mayhew.

Eleanor Lloyd Productions and Rebecca Stafford Productions have just announced that due to great critical acclaim and huge demand for tickets Witness for the Prosecution will extend its run on London's South Bank until 16 September 2018.

With her most famous play, The Mousetrap, celebrating its 65th anniversary in London's West End, it only seems right for another of Agatha Christie's stage works to be brought back for a limited run. Based on the short story Traitor Hands, Christie adapted it into a play in the early 1950s - and it was recently seen on the small screen, as the BBC aired a television version over the last festive season.

The first photographs are released today from the brand new production of Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie. The play begins previews on London's South Bank this Friday 6 October. Check out the photos below!
