Based on Baz Luhrmann's acclaimed film and now transformed into a spectacular and joyous West End musical, Matt will play the role of band leader Wally Strand, from Tuesday 31st July at the Piccadilly Theatre. He takes over the role from Will Young.

Based on Baz Luhrmann's classic film that inspired the world to dance, Strictly Ballroom The Musical will begin performances at the Piccadilly Theatre on Thursday 29th March 2018 (Press Night Tuesday 24th April).

Don't cue the music just yet! According to WhatsOnStage, Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom The Musical has delayed its West End run by two weeks. A statement from the producers reads:

Will Young, Jonny Labey and Zizi Strallen will lead the cast of Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom The Musical when it makes its West End debut in 2018.
