Austin-based singer-songcrafter/upright bassist Melissa Carper has announced her forthcoming LP, Borned In Ya, due out July 19th via Mae Music/Thirty Tigers, with the release of its first single and video, “Lucky Five.” The song is a lighthearted track about past relationships. Filmed and recorded over four days and directed by David Litchfield, the release of One Hand Clapping is a historic moment for Paul McCartney fans.  Over the years, various parts of One Hand Clapping have been bootlegged with varying degrees of success.  Some of the material has also appeared on official McCartney releases. However, the June 14 release of One Hand Clapping is the first time the audio for the film—plus several additional songs recorded off-camera--have been officially issued.

Sia and Paris Hilton have released their first-ever collaborative track “Fame Won’t Love You.” It follows a run of singles from Sia with other hitmakers like “Incredible” ft. Labrinth and “Dance Alone” ft. Kylie, in addition to the poignant solo ballad “I Forgive You.” All four of these songs are on Sia’s upcoming album Reasonable Woman, out May 3, 2024 via Atlantic Records. Listen to the song here!

Should you avoid seeing the show? For God’s sake, no. You will miss what is surely going to be one of the most talked about pieces of work in Houston’s theatrical history. Go see it, and make your own call whether you love or hate it. But don’t let them brainwash you into thinking this is only about love because it is also about repulsion, and that is okay. It is very much as if David Cronenberg and David Lynch made a movie, and Jim Henson designed the sex scenes.
