Rabbit Room Theatre, Matt Logan Productions and MA2LA in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing will present three nights of global theatrical cinematic events for The Hiding Place.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, has announced the Rolling World Premiere of “Colonialism is Terrible, But Phở is Delicious.” Written by Dustin H. Chinn and directed by Oánh Nguyễn, this exciting new comedy will preview from March 31 through April 7, with regular performances being April 8 through April 30 on the Cripe Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center. 

City Theatre has announced the first production of their 2022/2023 season, Lynn Nottage's Clyde's directed by Monteze Freeland.

This May 3rd, beloved food writer and cook Rick Martinez releases his long awaited cookbook, Mi Cocina: Recipes and Rapture from My Kitchen in Mexico (Clarkson Potter, $35).

From 31 March to 3 April 2022, CAPE TOWN OPERA in collaboration with The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, will host four unique performances entitled BON APPETIT! The stunning music and cuisine event will take place at The Restaurant and will delight gourmands and opera lovers alike.

Aurora announced in February that the World Premiere of THIS MUCH I KNOW from Eureka Day playwright Jonathan Spector, would be postponed until September 2022. Consequently, this show now closes out Aurora’s 2021/2022 season.

In accordance with B.C.'s Provincial Health orders and WorkSafe B.C. guidelines for the performing arts, and for the continued health and wellbeing of the artists and community, Pacific Opera is postponing its production of Bizet's Carmen. New dates for the production will be announced in the coming months. All other Pacific Opera 2022 events will proceed as scheduled.

The orchestra will continue to produce its concert operas and Thirsty Thursdays at the Opera series at the Engineers Club, in addition to its first fully-staged opera. Learn more about the full lineup here!

Opera Memphis has announced performances of In Real Life, a collection of operatic monologues for soprano, baritone, and chamber ensemble by composer Robert Paterson and librettist David Cote. Performances will be held on Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22 at the Clark Opera Memphis Center (6745 Wolf River Blvd) at 8pm.

Chance Theater will be working with Aurora Theatre Company for the first time to produce a livestream staged reading of Dustin Chinn’s Colonialism is Terrible, But Pho is Delicious. The show is being directed by Chance Theater’s Artistic Director Oanh Nguyen and will have one performance on Saturday, February 13th at 5:00 p.m.

Mezzo-Soprano Jamie Barton portrayed  Julia Child and Jonathan Easter accompanied her with Hoiby’s sparkling, decorative piano score. Opera Philadelphia starts 2021 by inviting fans to an operatic amuse-bouche featuring Lee Hoiby's delightful one-woman opera, Bon Appétit! 

On Friday, November 27, Houston Grand Opera will present a double billing of Bon Appétit! and The Impresario.

In light of restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Opera  Colorado will postpone its 2020-21 Season, previously programmed as Cavalleria Rusticana in February,  Carmen in May, and The Shining in June.
