Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) has added three performances to its highly anticipated upcoming production of Birdy, adapted by Naomi Wallace from the novel by William Wharton, and directed by Steven Maler. The production now runs February 27 through March 17 at the Carling-Sorenson Theater at Babson College in Wellesley.

Olathe Civic Theatre Association gears up for the theater's first production of 2019, the musical SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. Directed by Tiffany Coville-Schweigert and music direction by Betsy Bledsoe, the show runs February 8-24, Todays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm. Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim and the book is by James Lapine.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the New York premiere of SEA WALL / A LIFE with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance on Friday, February 1. Written by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne respectively, and directed by Carrie Cracknell, SEA WALL / A LIFE will run through Sunday, March 31 in The Public's Newman Theater with an official press opening on Thursday, February 14. The Actors' Gang will begin performances for the 2018 Free Shakespeare in the Park for Families production of Much Ado About Avengers beginning Saturday, August 4th, continuing a 12-year tradition of free theater in Media Park. Based on William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" and inspired by the characters of Marvel's The Avengers, this 45 minute, all?ages production will run every Saturday and Sunday of August at 11am, through August 26th.
