Based on the beloved 1993 Twentieth Century Fox film, Mrs. Doubtfire is the laugh-out-loud hilarious and heartfelt story of newly divorced and out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard. After losing custody of his children, Daniel disguises himself as Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire and takes a job in his ex-wife's home in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As he gets lost in his new persona and grows closer to his kids, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father.

Fountain Hills Theater Hosts a Broadway Quarantine Cabaret

The Fountain Hills Theater complex, located in Arizona's Phoenix valley area, officially stopped live performances four weeks ago due to CDC and state and local guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Their production of the farce Footlight Frenzy was halted mid-run and an additional four more shows (which were in the rehearsal/planning stages) were also cancelled. This became the official end of their 2019-20 season, a full two months earlier than was planned. The safety of patrons, actors, volunteers, and staff remains their top priority during this time.

Following a week of sold out previews, The 5th Avenue Theatre has announce that the world premiere production of Mrs. Doubtfire has been extended through January 4, 2020 by overwhelming demand. Mrs. Doubtfire, which officially opens Friday, December 13, 2019, will play an additional week past the original December 29, 2019 closing date. Badiene Magaziner will present and host a Benefit on November 25, 2019 at Feinstein's/54Below for the AJ Project. The AJ Project was founded by Christine Perrelli in memory of her son, AJ Perrelli. AJ, a professional dancer, singer, and actor, passed away from an unexpected head injury at the age of 26. AJ toured with The Village People, performing the role of The Cowboy throughout the country. He had just completed his run and trained Jim Newman to take over, while he stepped in as stand-by for The Construction Worker and The Cowboy. a?oeI was teaching Nick Perrelli, AJ's brother, at the time. Nick was also a gifted singer who had performed on 'THE X FACTOR.' We were all devastated when we heard the tragic news.a??

Center Theatre Group has announced the four new schools that have been selected to participate in the 2019-2020 Disney Musicals in Schools program. The program is an initiative developed by Disney Theatrical Group to create sustainable theatre programs in under-resourced elementary schools. The four schools are a part of Los Angeles County. The four schools include: Dr. Owen Lloyd Knox Elementary (LAUSD), Eastman Avenue Elementary (LAUSD), Euclid Avenue Elementary (LAUSD) and San Gabriel Avenue Elementary (LAUSD).
