The Russian Arts Theater and Studio (TRATS) continues its 2018-2019 season with an encore run of The Master and Margarita, Or, The Devil Comes to Moscow, a play based on Mikhail Bulgakov's cult masterpiece The Master and Margarita, adapted by Jean-Claude van Itallie from a translation by Sergei Kobiakoff. Staged by renowned Russian director Aleksey Burago, this limited engagement will take place December 1st to December 21st at Pushkin Hall, located at the Upper West Side in Manhattan.

Recent Barrymore Award winner Amanda Morton (Passing Strange, Wilma Theater) will serve as the Music Director. The Bridges of Madison County runs February 8-March 3, 2019 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. Center Theatre Group has selected participants for the 2018-2019 L.A. Writers' Workshop, where local playwrights are invited to spend eight months in residence at the company researching and writing new works with the feedback from artistic staff and their fellow writers. The workshop, administrated by Center Theatre Group's Artistic Department, is designed to foster new voices, inspire playwrights to create their best work, encourage bold writing and build relationships among local playwrights, Center Theatre Group and the Los Angeles theatre community.

Performance Space New York presents the No Series (January-May, 2019), unleashing the powerful artistic and political tool of refusal. The institution's third themed series under Executive Artistic Director Jenny Schlenzka (following the 2018's Posthuman and East Village Series) foregrounds projects that reflect on oppression and the task of building worlds from modes of survival outside the dominant culture, which seeks to dehumanize, destroy, erase, and exploit. Often reflecting the community and care fostered in the margins of colonial, ableist, hetero-patriarchal, and capitalist societies, the artists in the No Series engage modes of being beyond the individualism and alienation on which these structures thrive. Hopelessness and invisibility can provide the foundations for vibrant, self-determined worlds.

Barrington Stage Company today announced the first three productions for its upcoming 25th season.

California Shakespeare Theater (Cal Shakes) today announced its 2019 Season at the Bruns Amphitheater: A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, May 22-June 9; The Good Person of Szechwan by Bertolt Brecht, July 3-21; the world premiere of House of Joy by Madhuri Shekar, August 14-September 1; and Macbeth by William Shakespeare, September 18-October 6. Cast and creative teams for each will be announced at a later date.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to begin their season with a modern reimagining of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. Chekhov's classic play about artistic rebellion, translated by Paul Schmidt, will star the MFA Class of 2020 and guests. Director Sarah Wansley's staging will shed light on the show's poetic realism. Press opening will be on October 9th at the Helen Theatre in Playhouse Square and the show will run from October 10th-October 20th. 

Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce its next season will go on sale to the public this Sunday, September 23. The season includes: A BRONX TALE, ANASTASIA, CATS and Tony Award-winning COME FROM AWAY, FALSETTOS and A BAND'S VISIT.

Lyric Music Theater, 176 Sawyer Street, South Portland will be presenting four musicals and a classic play in their 2018-2019 season. All five shows are being performed on the Lyric stage for the first time and include family friendly classics, romantic drama, uproarious comedy, murder and mystery, and an epic, classic tale, something for everyone.

Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of MasterVoices, announced details of the acclaimed ensemble's 77th season, celebrating the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. The upcoming season will be framed by two major musical events, the New York premiere of a multi-media version of Handel's oratorioIsrael in Egypt performed at Carnegie Hall, and a new adaptation of the Kurt Weill-Ira Gershwin-Moss Hart avant-garde musical, Lady in the Dark, starring Victoria Clark at New York City Center. Lady in the Dark has not been seen in New York since it was presented at New York City Center in 1994 as part of the inaugural Encores! season.

Closing its inaugural season at the Colony Theatre with completely sold out runs of new works, Queen of Basel and The Album , artistic director Michel Hausmann announces Miami New Drama's upcoming program of four plays that highlight pivotal historical periods and communities in Miami. Committed to producing new work that is reflective and inspired by the Magic City, these four productions include three world premieres commissioned by Miami New Drama, including the highly anticipated collaboration with Billy Corben on Cocaine Cowboys.

Sundance Now, AMC Networks' premium streaming service, announced it has come aboard season two of the thrilling crime drama, “Riviera.” The series, which is currently shooting on location in Nice, will be available to stream on Sundance Now in 2019. Joining the cast for season two is Alex Lanipekun (“Homeland,” “The Borgias,” “24”), as well as the previously announced Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”),Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply), Poppy Delevingne (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Jack Fox (“Dracula”), and Grégory Fitoussi (World War Z). They'll join returning cast members Julia Stiles, Lena Olin, Roxane Duran and Dimitri Leonidas, picking up in the aftermath of the shocking first season finale.

Montalvo Arts Center kicks off its annual Art on the Grounds exhibition program this summer with We the People, an evening of poetry, performance, and sound and installation art. Alluding to the quintessentially American phrase that begins the preamble to the constitution, We the People is an invitation to the Bay Area community to join poets, musicians, and visual and sound artists from around the globe to examine the timely and central theme of expanding, understanding, and reimagining the inclusive ways of being together.
