The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

Northern Stage's Summer Musical Theater Intensive returns this year with the hilarious satire of capitalism, bureaucracy, and politics, all surrounding the privilege to pee. Urinetown the Musical will be performed by Northern Stage's talented young education department students, July 20-31, in the Byrne Theater at the Barrette Center for the Arts in White River Junction, VT.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company,announces the regional premiere production of the 2009 rock musical “Green Day's American Idiot.”  Directed by James Michael McHale,  choreographed by Miguel Cardenas, and with music direction by Gabrielle Maldonado, “Green Day's American Idiot” runs July 15 to August 14 on the Cripe Stage of the Bette Aitken theater arts Center. Previews are July 15 to 22 and regular performances are July 23 to August 14. 

Running July 1 through 16 at The Colonial Theatre, the audience will be transported to a bustling Irish pub with a stage full of incredibly talented actors singing and playing their own instruments. 

The Theatre Group at SBCC is excited to announce the first show of the 2022-23 season will be the exuberant musical, SOMETHING ROTTEN! Syracuse Stage has announced casting for the world premiere of How to Dance in Ohio, a new musical inspired by Alexandra Shiva’s Peabody Award-winning documentary of the same name.  The Des Moines Community Playhouse held the 2020 Dionysos Awards, virtually, on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020. The theatre honored eight backstage, guest services, and education volunteers, and announced eight acting awards. The evening began with a number from the theatre's Celebration of the Century, held on Nov. 2, 2019, and concluded with a song from 2018 Dionysos Award double-recipient, Blake Clyde.
